NPTA Home

The National Progressive Taekwondo Association was founded in 1992 by Master Instructor Dan Perry.  With the philosophy that there is good technique to be found in all forms of Martial Art, his vision is to create strong community leaders through professional Martial Art instruction.  Currently a 6th Degree Black Belt Master Instructor under GrandMaster Kang Rhee (Memphis, TN), Master Perry has over 35 years of Martial Arts experience.

Headquartered in Springfield, MO, the NPTA is one of the fastest growing Martial Arts Associations in the country.  The NPTA's primary art is the traditional Chon-Hon form system of Taekwondo, with a National Registry maintained for all NPTA members.  The NPTA is a progressive-minded organization, so cross-training is encouraged.  Each NPTA school may offer training in other Martial Arts, depending on the expertise of the instructor.  However, the primary ranking system for each NPTA school is, and always will be, the traditional Chon-Hon form system.

ASK YOU INSTRUCTOR ABOUT HOSTING A SUPERPIC DAY AT YOUR SCHOOL

Our goal with this web site is multi-faceted:  For those looking for a Martial Arts home, we want you to discover the professionalism, integrity, and quality to be found in the NPTA.  We are a family-oriented organization, and would like to welcome you into the NPTA family---please feel free to contact us in one of the many ways listed on this site.

This site was also designed with the purpose of being a useful tool for NPTA members.  Students can find general information about Taekwondo, as well as other arts offered by the NPTA.  You can read up on your NPTA instructor's martial arts background, find instructors' email addresses, shop for training equipment, or check out pictures of recent NPTA events.  Throughout this site you will find pages for each NPTA school, different NPTA programs, as well as pages dedicated to yearly events at the National Headquarters.  Please take the time to look around---you may be surprised at what you'll find!  Any comments, suggestions, or questions are welcome--please send us your thoughts!
